The season nine finale of Grey's Anatomy will not air until May but details about the episode have already surfaced revealing a frantic hospital that will have to deal with one of the worst things a doctor could face.

E! Online stated that the staff of Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital will "find themselves in over their heads" when a number of machines at the hospital, specifically ventilators, stop working. The problem results in frantic loved ones of patients stepping in to help out.

Details of the final episode was revealed to the show's cast only recently and actress Camilla Luddington, who plays intern Jo Wilson, tweeted on April 13, "Just heard that we will know what happens in the finale on Monday. I suddenly got butterflies.. Eek!"

Sarah Drew (April Kepner) tweeted on April 15 "Holy crap! The season 9 finale is gonna blow your mind!!!"

The show's executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, has been a bit more forthcoming with details about the finale. In late March she tweeted a series of messages about the episode, saying for one thing that writers "made some very bold shocking decisions" for the script.

On March 27, she reassured a worried Grey's Anatomy fan that the script "will be good to Callie," adding, "And I will be good to Arizona." She also created more hype for the finale when she tweeted the following:

"People.I warned you about the GA finale so you could brace yourself or whatever. Hug a friend."
