He still loves her even though he knows there is no hope for their marriage to survive, and knowing she is the one person who could send him to jail for murdering Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) could persuade Julian (William DeVry) to do something unthinkable when it comes to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) on General Hospital.

Julian was stunned when his wife was arrested for his crime, but made no move to help her out by confessing, and even refused to show up at her arraignment. Instead, he then went home to pack up a few things. Now, she has come back home as well and isn't happy to see him because she's suffering the consequences of a crime he committed, unaware that the ghost of his victim is haunting him, and encouraging him to do something drastic and extreme.

Carlos is there in Julian's mind, and is warning him that Alexis won't go down without a fight, meaning she will make sure to find any evidence she can to prove he was the one who committed the murder. And now, the apparition Julian has conjured up of Carlos is encouraging him to do the unthinkable and of his wife to protect himself.

"You have the perfect opportunity to rid yourself of the one person who could send you to prison for the rest of your life," Carlos says to Julian in a preview clip for the Monday, June 26 episode.

Julian will be torn by what his psyche is telling him to do, and what his heart wants him to do, since he not only still loves Alexis and does want to make it work with her if there is ever a way to repair the damage done this time around, but they also share a daughter together, Sam (Kelly Monaco), and killing Alexis is something he may not be as willing to do because he knows Sam would never forgive him for it.

Meanwhile, Sam is about to learn of the situation her parents are dealing with as she tries to track down Nikolas (Nick Stabile) and Ava (Maura West) when she gets an alert that informs her of Alexis' arrest.

"My mother has been arrested," she says to a shocked Jason (Billy Miller) in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
