Photos of the two Boston bombing suspects helped police track down the two suspects, with resulted in the death of one and the other fleeing the scene of a shootout that took place on Thursday night.

The surviving Boston bombing victim was identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev and the Suspect 1, who died, was Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

It was revealed that two bomb suspects connected to the Boston Marathon explosions are brothers from the area near Chechnya, according to The Associated Press. They have been living in the United States for at least a year.

Police have been doing door-to-door searches throughout Boston towns and have asked residents to stay indoor and lock their doors.

The MIT shooter from Thursday night is also one of the Boston bombing suspects. Suspect 1 died after a police car chase and shootout on Thursday night with police. One officer was killed in the shootout and another was injured.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. Thursday, police said the bombing suspects robbed a 7-Eleven store in Cambridge. Police said the men then shot and killed an MIT campus officer responding to the robbery call. After that the suspects carjacked a Mercedes-Benz with the driver inside and fled, eventually letting driver go. In Watertown is where they got in a shootout with patrol officers.

Suspect 1 was shot by police and brought to Beth Israel Medical Center as he was under cardiac arrest with multiple gunshot wounds. The second suspect fled the shootout by foot,

The suspect that died, Taemerlan, was shown in footage released from Monday's explosion. Pictures were released of him dressed in all black and his pants have been shredded. He looks from left to right before making off in the opposite direction toward the area where members of the public were aiding the injured. He was shown walking toward a mail box, dropping a package inside and walking away.
