Lady Gaga and Taylor Kiinney have reportedly put their wedding on hold -- and for good reason.

According to a new report, the 30-year-old singer, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, wants to have a baby with her longtime partner before they tie the knot.

"Gaga is off birth control and trying to get pregnant," a source told Life & Style on Wednesday. "She's joked that she wants a little monster of her very own."

The source went on to reveal that Lady Gaga is taking her possible pregnancy quite seriously and has already started making plans for a nursery in her Malibu, Calif. mansion. However, that doesn't mean that she has completely put her wedding plans aside.

"[Gaga] knows a wedding is in the future, but she's finding planning a baby to be a whole lot easier," the magazine source added.

Lady Gaga and her Chicago Fire fiancé began dating after meeting on the set of her music video for "You & I" in 2011. During the video, Lady Gaga ironically wore her mother's wedding gown.

"They started dating several months later, and split briefly in May 2012. The following month, the inseparable lovebirds got back together," Us Weekly reported in February of last year, just after the couple become engaged following Kinney's Valentine's Day proposal.

During an interview with Howard Stern prior to Kinney's proposal, Lady Gaga said she was sure that she and Kinney would one day tie the knot.

"He is the right guy," she gushed of Kinney at the time. "How do we know? It's this feeling..."

Meanwhile, Kinney has had kind words for the singer, as well.

"[She] is someone who’s always in your corner, that believes in you and your work, and vice versa," Kinney said. "You know, I love what she does and her work and music and charity. She inspires so many people including myself."

And while there have been tons of reports regarding who may design Lady Gaga's wedding gown, she admitted to wanting a much simpler solution.

"If I get married, I'll be hanging out in a pickup truck at a David's Bridal while my stylist is screaming at me," she joked.
