Serena Williams and Drake may not be dating currently, but according to a new report, the rapper is still a fan of the tennis star.

Although fans shouldn't expect to see Drake in the audience at this year's Wimbledon, a source claims he's been keeping up with her events, and is thrilled with her performances thus far.

“Drake’s enjoying seeing Serena annihilate the competition [at Wimbledon],” an insider told Hollywood Life on Wednesday. “He’s rooting for her and has texted her about hear latest win. He wants to show up to the next match in person and watch her play and hopefully win Wimbledon [after that], but he thinks he’d be a distraction."

"He believes that Serena would be looking at him too much in the stands and not focusing on her match!" the source explained. "The energy between them is explosive and she would likely feel it on the court while she’s playing.”

Williams and Drake were linked to one another in late 2015, but they never said much of their romance. Instead, they simply added to rumors by stepping out with one another on a number of occasions. Drake was also said to be juggling a few other females during their alleged romance.

“They are still a thing, but he is also not committed to only her and enjoys the variety life brings in the women department,” a source told Hollywood Life last October. “He will always be a player first. But don’t tell her that, because she wants to hang out with him more and more, especially since she has taken off time from tennis.”
