World famous little kitty "Lil Bub" appeared Sunday on the "Today" show, following the premiere of the documentary "Lil Bub & Friendz" starring Lil Bub at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival last week.

The little kittie with cartoon-like eyes and the tiny tongue which always peeks out due to her chinless grin, appeared on the "Today" show with her owner Mike Bridavsky and filmmakers Juliette Eisner and Andy Capper, to discuss the movie that has become the buzz of the Tribeca Film Festival.

"She is the star of the film and we loved her immediately and not everybody loves her as well," Eisner, the documentary's director said on the show today.

During the short appearance on the "Today" show, the filmmakers explained that with the documentary, they aimed to explore Internet cat culture and the nature of the relationship between Mike and the kitty.

The documentary "Lil Bub & Friendz" premiered on Thursday night at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The kitty reportedly caught the attention of photographers as she walked the red carpet.

The kitty was adopted by her owner and is also known because she has a rare condition in her bones that limit her movement.

"So she's just a very very strange looking thing," Eisner told Rolling Stone at the premiere Thursday. "And I think that's why people gravitate towards her, because they just can't take their eyes off her when they see her."

While she is at the center of the movie, she is not the only star. Other worldwide famous cats including Nyan Cat, Grumpy Cat and Keyboard Cat appear in the movie.

On Saturday, Lil Bub made an appearance at an outdoor night screening of the documentary at the World Financial Center in Downtown Manhattan, where fans of all ages and children lined up to take pictures with the kitty, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The 2-year-old Lil Bub became famous last year, when it appeared in ABC's Good Morning America in August, but it became a global Internet sensation after the social network site Reddit, started to spread the picture of the kitty.

Lil Bub's Facebook page has over 119,000 Likes and hundreds of thousands of views in YouTube.
