Royal Pains may have some life in it yet.

The USA series took its final bow on Wednesday, jumping three years into to the future to paint an idyllic picture of two brothers who took their second shot and ran with it. There are plenty of Hamptons summers in Hank's (Mark Feuerstein) future, and the Royal Pains powers that be are loath to write off the possibility of a revival.

"Nothing would be more fun than getting to work with everyone, the writers, the cast and crew," executive producer Michael Rauch told TV Guide. "We feel like we both finished the stories of the characters and the relationships in a way that felt complete and emotionally fulfilling, and at the same time, there's a promise of what's to come next. So it would be a great opportunity and a lot of fun to be able to explore that."

That being said, the season 8 finale was the second time writers had to pen an ending for the Lawson brothers. USA came close to canceling the program after season 6, forcing the creative team to tie up loose ends two years early. For executive producer Andrew Lenchewski, the idea of dropping a new engine into a beloved chassis is a little overwhelming at this point. For now, he'd rather let the series rest in pristine condition.

"At the end of Season 6, we were on the bubble, and so we had to construct a season finale that could serve as both a season finale if we were renewed and a series finale if we weren't. And so that was kind of creatively and emotionally draining," Lenchewski said, according to TV Guide. "And then we obviously did it again at the end of Season 8, and we felt like, OK, this really feels like the perfect conclusion to all these stories. So the idea of having to unwrap that and then wrap it back together again at a later date feels a little daunting."
