Katherine Russell, 24, was photographed outside her home in Cambridge, Mass. She wore a leopard-print hijab and was spotted quickly collecting her belongings - her cat, a shopping bag and duffel bag - before driving away in a white Volvo with her 3-year-old daughter, according to New York Post. See the photo of her outside her home here.

Details have surfaced about who exactly Russell is, known by many for now as the widow of Boston bomber Tamerlan Tzarnaev.
Russell was raised a Christian and converted to Islam after marrying Tsarnaev when she was a student, according to RadarOnline. Records show she attended Boston's Suffolk University from 2007 to 2010, but she did not graduate. She and Tsarnaev married and together had daughter Zahara, now 3.

According to a tweet by reporter Ted Nesi of WPRI-TV 12, Katherine was a student at Suffolk University. "Suffolk U. confirms to me that a Katherine O. Russell of No. Kingstown RI was a student there from Fall 2007-Spring 2010. Did not graduate," he tweeted.

She is one of the Russells' three daughters and grew up in North Kingstown, Rhode Island where her father is a doctor and her mother, a nurse. The mother's Facebook page has her employer as a social service agency for children, according to NBC.

Russell had not seen Tsarnaev reportedly since last year, according to LaLate News.

Tsarnaev and his brother, Dzhokhar, are suspected of planting two bombs at the Boston Marathon on April 15, which killed three people and injured over 140 others. Tamerlan was killed April 18 while partaking with his brother in a shootout with police. Dzhokhar fled the scene but was captured by authorities on April 19 with serious injuries.

Tamerlan's aunt said he was not religious before 2012, the year he started to pray five times a day. That same year he traveled to Russia.

Tamerlan also had a 2009 arrest for domestic violence against his then girlfriend, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Russell's parents have put up their detached family home in North Kingstown in Rhode Island for sale for $467,000, according to DailyMail.

The family appear to have put the house on the market immediately after the bombing suspects were identified - the exact day their son-in-law was killed.

Katherine's father Warren bought the property back in 1999. Her parents have resided in the property, which comes with three bedrooms and 0.74 acres of land for 14 years.

The widow's mother Judith replied 'no comment' as to why they put their family home on the market, DailyMail reports.

Tamerlan was regularly seen visiting the residence in Rhode Island with his wife.

Katherine and her two sisters, Anna and Becca, grew up in the North Kingston, Rhode Island home.

DailyMail reported that the family of Russell is devastated by what happened.

Parents Judith and Warren issued a statement following the horrific terror attack: "Our daughter has lost her husband today, the father of her child. We cannot begin to comprehend how this horrible tragedy occurred. In the aftermath of the Patriot's Day horror, we know that we never really knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Our hearts are sickened by the knowledge of the horror he has inflicted."

Tamerlan, who had dreamed of becoming a boxer, had recently become radicalized, turning to Jihad, according to videos posted on his Youtube account.

His brother Dzhokhar was finally captured at about 9 p.m. ET tonight on 76 Franklin St. Watertown, Mass., after a large manhunt.
Tamerlan's Youtube page shows a playlist titled 'Terrorists' dedicated to terrorism. Those videos are not available from the video sharing site anymore. One song was called, ''I will dedicate my life to Jihad.'

According to his aunt Maret Tsarneva, who believes that her nephews have been set up as the bombing suspects, Tamerlan had only recently started to pray 5 times a day. "Maybe 2 years ago he started praying 5 times a day. I don't see anything bad in it. 5 times. You set up the time, you say gratitude words to creator - I would rather him pray than smoking, doing drugs and doing some other unlawful stuff."

Maret requested that additional proof be given that show her nephews behind the heinous acts.

She spoke to the media from her Toronto residence.

"I am a lawyer and there are four of us in the family. I can't lightly accept this kind of accusations without supporting evidence. Forgive me, but I cannot. Could it be staged? I have to question everything. That's my nature," she said.

The aunt stated that she hasn't spoken to her nephews in roughly five years.

She explained her initial reaction upon hearing they were suspects.

"I called FBI line first - that's the number i called. Knowing these two boys, believing strongly that they woudln't do this - thats why i called. But I called not right away. First reaction was anger. How could this happen, how could they do this? for the sake of what? what beliefs? what prompted them to this? this reaction. But I went through the material. My first call to FBI - I said they could not have done this where is evidence? I'm suspicious that this was staged. The picture was staged. Whoever is looking for those who need to be blamed. "
