One of Tamar Braxton’s sisters has been thrown into the mix when it comes to speculation of who will replace the singer and reality star on the hit daytime talk show The Real.

Braxton was fired from the show back in May in one of the most shocking cast shakeups this year; and now rumor has it that a fellow Braxton sister, Towanda Braxton, will be sitting in her spot.

TMZ caught up with Towanda at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) over the weekend and she candidly dished on reports that she would be the show’s newest co-host.

“I hadn’t heard that rumor,” she said. “That’s a nice rumor. I’m honored actually.”

As for what Tamar would think about Towanda heading over to The Real, Towanda said she is confident Tamar would not mind.

“I doubt if she would,” Towanda added.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time Towanda has been asked about replacing Tamar. She and her sisters Traci and Trina Braxton stopped by The Rickey Smiley Morning Show just days after Tamar’s firing made headlines. When asked if they would ever fill that slot, Trina made it clear that is not an option for her.

“I think the chances are slim to none,” she said. “When something like that happens to your family it’s very personal. When it comes to business and when it comes to family, family comes first every time.”
