While speculation over the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey continues to create massive buzz, news recently came out that HBO's Girls' Allison Williams has reportedly landed the role.

Williams is rumored to have landed the Steele part in E.L. James' upcoming film adaptation, according to The Christian Post. However, there's been no confirmation as of yet, as the author has yet to acknowledge that the casting process has even begun.

Over the past couple of weeks Williams started being mentioned as a potential suitor for the Steele character, according to International Business TimesThe 24-year-old, who plays Marnie Michaels on Girls, may just be the perfect fit for Steele with her natural beauty and seductive eyes.

One of the major knocks on Williams is that fans may not be able to separate the actress from her Marnie character. However, much like Fifty Shades, the part does partake in sexual activities.

The Fifty Shades of Grey premise revolves around Steele, who gets herself involved in a dominant and submissive sexual relationship with the S&M-crazed billionaire Christian Grey. Through a mutual "agreement," the two delve into the world of bondage and masochism.

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is currently in the midst of penning the movie script, recently stated that she would be staying true to the book with an adundance of sex and raunchiness. Producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to Style.com.

Although Fifty Shades producers have yet to attach a director to the franchise, the film is slated for its big screen release in the summer of 2014. Only time will truly tell how the casting process ultimately unfolds.
