He raced to the address his mother told him to get to with a bomb squad, but arrived as the house she was in exploded, and now, Shawn (Brandon Beemer) will be on a desperate search to find both Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) before it's too late on Days of Our Lives.

Rafe was attacked at the home by Andre (Thaao Penghlis) to get revenge for Stefano's death. When he came to, he was chained to a wall in the home's basement, and a bomb was ticking nearby. Hope was informed of where he had last gone while investigating Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) when proof he had been the one who was attempting to kill Hope until the night of her attack months ago surfaced, and she ran off to find him.

Once there, she realized the danger he was in, and began working to try and rescue him, even as he told her not to bother and to save herself. She wouldn't let him convince her though, now that she knew he was the man she should be with. And as the seconds ticked away before the bomb went off, both she and Rafe still seemed to be in the basement.

However, her last attempt to free him from the chains, by shooting at them in the wall, may have successfully helped aid in getting him freed. And the two may have been on their way to escape the house when the bomb officially ran out of time on its countdown and exploded. Trapped inside, they may be alive, but things could still be dire for the pair.

Even if they don't die from the explosion, the flying debris and rubble were another issue that can affect them greatly. If a piece of debris hits one of them, or even both, they could still die from their injuries, and if they are buried beneath the rubble enough that it'll be hard for the bomb squad to find them, it will only make the situation worse.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
