Orange Is the New Black star Taylor Schilling recently spoke about season 4 being a harrowing one, especially for her character, Piper.

***Spoilers for season 4 of Orange Is the New Black below***

It was a difficult year for many of the Litchfield inmates on Orange Is the New Black. And even though Piper has been the butt of many jokes over the years, it was an especially tough year for the WASP-y prisoner. From getting a swastika branded on her arm to becoming persona non grata among the prison's Latina population, it wasn't easy for Piper this season.

Schilling spoke about this in a new interview with Seth Meyers on his late night talk show.

"It was a really upsetting season. Piper's not doing well," she admitted.

The actress also admitted that she had a hilarious crack-smoking mishap during season 4. This season famously featured a scene in which Piper tried crack for the first time with Alex (Laura Prepon) and Nicky (Natasha Lyonne) - which didn't exactly go as planned when Schilling was filming it. Schilling admitted that she picked up the crack pipe "by the wrong end" and she ended up burning herself!

Additionally, the actress spoke about the growing ensemble of Orange Is the New Black, with Schilling now unable to keep track of everybody.

"I don't know who they are anymore!" Schilling quipped. "There's like 150 people on our show. I just feel like I introduce myself - I don't know if they're on the show or if they're working behind the scenes. I don't know what they're doing . . . but we have a great time, once we get to know each other."

Season 5 of Orange Is the New Black is set to premiere next summer on Netflix, with the first four seasons available to stream now.
