Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi are reportedly "stronger than they have ever been," but are they ready for a baby?

Although Degeneres and de Rossi are clearly quite happy with one another and currently enjoying a summer vacation, they don't have any plans to welcome children of their own.

"Ellen is really enjoying her life with Portia right now," a source told Radar Online on Tuesday. "Ellen and Portia are having the time of their lives right now and it is great to see because when Ellen is happy, the whole world is happy! For the first time in almost a decade, they are just enjoying the life that they have built for themselves."

According to the report, Degeneres and de Rossi went through a rough patch months ago, but now, they couldn't be happier as they enjoy their romantic getaway following a hectic few weeks, during which Degeres was promoting Finding Dory.

"They were going through a very rough time, but that is over now," the source explained.

As for their future plans for children, the source went on to reveal that the couple has never wanted to start a family -- and nothing regarding their views on children has changed.

"Ellen and Portia never really intended on having kids and nothing has changed there. They love babies… other people's babies, though!" said the source. "Neither one of them really has a desire to be a mother at this point in their lives."

Degeneres and de Rossi have been married since 2008.
