Pokémon GO might be making headlines right now, but there is another notable game coming out for the franchise later this year, the much-hyped Pokémon Sun & Moon, which is expected to be released on November 18 in the United States, Japan and Canada. Considering that Sun & Moon would be following up on the immense success of Pokémon GO, the newest dedicated Pokémon title for Nintendo's handheld 3DS platform has some pretty big shoes to fill.

After all, if there is something that Pokémon GO proved, it is that embracing a platform outside Nintendo's family of proprietary consoles is an extremely lucrative investment. Thus, Pokémon Sun & Moon, which follows Nintendo's classic strategy of releasing an exclusive game that can only be played on the company's own consoles, might ultimately be the determining factor on whether Nintendo should rethink its marketing strategies or not.

Considering recent announcements, however, it would seem like Nintendo is pulling out all stops to make Pokemon Sun & Moon into a successful title. Among these announcements is a new feature that finally allows players to train their pocket monsters beyond the traditional level cap of 100. This means that training Pokemon would have far fewer limitations this time around. Such a feature, of course, has been received well by fans of the gaming series.

Apart from these, a number of very interesting Pokémon would also be making an appearance in the game. While Solgaeo and Lunala, the two legendary Pokémon of the upcoming games, would definitely be the most sought-after creatures in the title, the presence of new, notable Pokémon has also excited fans.

Among this is Rockruff, a Rock and Normal-type dog Pokémon that, after much training, actually evolves into a werewolf. That's right. Pokémon Sun & Moon will have a werewolf.

Pokémon Sun & Moon will be released in North America and Japan on Nov. 18, followed by the U.K. and Europe, where the game would be released on Nov. 23.
