Taylor Swift is extremely grateful to Selena Gomez for taking a stand against Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

After the Keeping Up With the Kardashians couple exposed Swift in a social media video, which revealed West had consulted her before releasing "Famous," which she previously denied, Gomez took to Twitter, where she slammed the couple for using their voice for something that doesn't "f**king matter."

“Taylor is in awe with how much love and support she’s been getting from her friends, and from Tom of course. She’s especially grateful that Selena stood up for her and defended her,” an insider told Hollywood Life on Tuesday.

After Kardashian and West's video clip was released, Gomez tweeted, “There are more important things to talk about… Why can’t people use their voice for something that f**king matters?"

She also added, "Truth is last thing we need right now is hate, in any form.”

According to the Hollywood Life report, Gomez has been encouraging Swift to “focus on her songwriting as a way to vent,” and soon, the two friends will reunite in Australia, where Swift has been staying with Tom Hiddleston as he films Thor 3. In addition, Swift is planning for a big suprise for Gomez's upcoming birthday.

“She’s definitely planning on doing something special for Selena‘s birthday this Friday (July 22). Even though they are miles apart, Taylor will make a big to-do about her birthday and send some special gifts,” a source explained to Hollywood Life.
