Dragon Ball Super is taking a brief break from the airwaves, with the next episode slated to be released later this week. With the events in the previous episodes in mind, it would seem like the definitive battle against Black Goku would be happening soon. With this in mind, and considering the events of the series thus far, fans of Dragon Ball are speculating about which of the main characters actually deserves to defeat Black Goku in the Future Trunks arc's final, decisive battle.

One of the most prominent speculations involves Vegeta finally getting his moment and beating Black Goku at the end of the arc. This is due to the fact that save for Future Trunks, Vegeta is the fighter who is most affected by Black Goku's rampage in the future. In fact, considering that one of Black Goku's notorious crimes is to kill Bulma in cold blood, Vegeta has every reason to intensely hate the mysterious villain.

This has been somewhat shown in Episode 52 of Dragon Ball Super, when Vegeta was seen training in the Gravity Room. During that particular scene, Vegeta was shown cursing Black Goku for killing his family in the future. If there's any good reason to defeat Black Goku, that was it.

If any, Vegeta's motivations for wanting hurt Black Goku carries a more weight than Son Goku's desire to beat the mysterious villain. After all, Goku is a fighter who is motivated by the strength of his enemies. Thus, in the case of Black Goku, Son Goku wants to fight him simply because he is intrigued as to how much power the villain really has.

On the other hand, Vegeta's reasons for fighting against Black Goku are far more personal. After all, the death of his wife, who he treasures very much, under the hands of Black Goku, is undeniably an unforgivable offense.

Of course, these are but speculations, and until the future episodes of the Future Trunks arc actually air, viewers won't be able to really know who will get to deliver the final strike against Black Goku. Regardless of the character who gets to have the spotlight, however, the Future Trunks arc in Dragon Ball Super would surely end with a pretty epic bang.
