A whole bunch of details regarding Regina in season 6 of ABC's Once Upon a Time were revealed this weekend.

Much of the Once Upon a Time cast and crew convened on Saturday for a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The panel featured stars like Lana Parrilla (who plays Regina) and Jennifer Morrison (Emma) revealing what's ahead for their respective characters.

One of the bigger topics of discussion was the Evil Queen splitting from Regina and walking the Earth as her own entity in the season 5 finale. Those worried that this will make Regina wholly good should be pleased to learn that she won't be losing her personality completely.

"Regina is still sassy. She's not going to lose her sass," Parrilla confirmed. "I thought, 'Is she just now this pure, light being?' They said, 'Well no, not really, because she's still sassy.' That's Regina. She's sarcastic. She's not going to lose that. But the Evil Queen is slightly different than she used to be. She is now without a conscience, so she's pure evil and a lot of fun. Regina is desperate to really be this hero and be happy internally. That's really what she wants for herself. She has this beautiful family now. It's going to be an interesting journey to see how the Evil Queen and Regina coexist."

Meanwhile, the friendship between Regina and Emma will certainly become complicated as the Evil Queen does not feel the same way towards the blonde heroine.

"These women have grown so much over the years and they've become best friends," Parrilla noted. "They're working together and I think Emma has really helped Regina get to this new place in her life. Emma has saved her many times and vice versa. I see them continuing down that path. The Evil Queen is another entity in itself."

Morrison added that it's going to be tough for Emma, "because she wants to believe in Regina and knows that good can win, but she also knows she needs to protect everyone she loves. It's going to be complicated like it always is."

Once Upon a Time season 6 premieres Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
