It appears that Justin Bieber may not reunite with his pet Capuchin monkey, Mally.

According to the Daily News, Judith Brettmeister, a spokeswoman for the Munich Animal Protection League shelter, claims that the shelter received an email from a representative of Bieber stating, "Our team is looking into the idea of placing Mally at a zoo in Germany. Would you happen to have any recommendations for places that Mally would be safe and thrive?"

Mally was confiscated by German customs on March 28 when the 19-year-old singer failed to furnish the correct paperwork while at the Franz Josef Strauss Airport in Munich.

According to the Huffington Post UK, Karl Heinz Joachim, who is currently in charge of the center where Mally is staying, states that Mally would be happier living with other Capuchians.

"There are a great many suitable places that have offered to take Mally and integrate him with their own capuchin monkeys where he would be much more happy with his own kind," Joachim stated. "A baby monkey was never going to be suited to be on a world tour even if he is travelling by private jet. He should be out in the wild climbing trees and learning from other monkeys if he isn't to have serious psychological problems later in life."

However, E! reports that the decision of where Mally goes is up to Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, not the shelter itself. According to the Daily News, nothing can be done until they receive word form Bieber or someone with his power of attorney.
