Keshia Knight Pulliam’s husband Ed Hartwell definitely brought on the shock factor when he filed for divorce against Pulliam, who just announced her pregnancy. But what is even more surprising is that he asked for a paternity test. And we now know why he has questions of whether the unborn child is actually is.

One insider told People Monday that Hartwell, who was also previously married to Hollywood Divas star Lisa Wu, “doesn’t have any evidence of her cheating” but is still second guessing whether he fathered the baby.

“It’s just that he had told her he wanted to wait before having a baby and things got really bad between them and then she pops up pregnant,” they added. “He even told her he didn’t want to release the bump picture so soon, but she did it anyway.”

That explains why he still has yet to speak on the pregnancy. It could also give insight on why she celebrated her pregnancy on social media without him.

The insider went on to say that Hartwell, “just wants to make sure that just because they were married he still covers his bases and gets everything checked out. The pregnancy came during a very dark spot in their relationship.”

Pulliam confirmed that she is pregnant via Instagram. She also announced the news on her podcast, Kandidly Keshia, where she revealed she is having a girl.

This is the first child for Pulliam. Hartwell is father to EJ who he had when he was married to former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and current Hollywood Divas cast member Lisa Wu.
