Supernatural fans are getting a return of one of their favorite female characters in this week's "Pac-Man Fever." Charlie Bradbury, played by Felicia Day, will be back in all her sassy, pop culture glory.

A sneak peek posted last Wednesday by the CW network shows that this time Charlie is coming to the Winchester brothers for help. A stark contrast to the last two Charlie centric episodes where her character is unwittingly thrown into a world of monsters and mayhem.

"She comes to them because she feels connected to them," Day confided to the Examiner. "There's an emotional connection with her and Sam and Dean, and she cares about them, and she wants to be a part of their world. They care about her back, and she's a character that doesn't have a lot of support, and I think her day-to-day life is very lonely, but finally she finds people who have as many secrets as she does."

While Charlie reveals that she has learned many of the boy's secrets after picking up the 'Supernatural' book series by prophet Carver Edlund (Rob Benedict), it looks as if Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) still have a lot to learn about her.

"She wants to be a part of what they do," Day said, according to TV Line. "I love the fact that rather than [them rejecting] that, she, through circumstances, is taken under Dean's wing and is introduced into the world of being a hunter, which has its up and downs, of course."

The last person Dean took under his wing in such a manner was Jo Harvelle (Alona Tal), a choice that did not end particularly well. However, according to the Examiner, Charlie will get a chance for more hands on hunting in this episode since Dean has sidelined Sam due to the physical toll of the trials.

Supernatural airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW
