Robert Pattinson is reportedly supportive of Kristen Stewart's blossoming romance with her girlfriend.

In the latest edition of Elle UK, Stewart opened up about her relationship with gal pal Alicia Cargile where she finally admitted that the two are in a relationship.

"I think also right now I'm just really in love with my girlfriend," the actress revealed. "We've broken up a couple of times and gotten back together, and this time I was like, 'Finally, I can feel again.'"

Stewart is also known for her previous romance with Pattinson back in the day where they became one of the biggest couples in Hollywood. And according to Friday's report from Hollywood Life, the actor couldn't be happier for his ex now that she's found love again.

"Things are making a whole lot more sense to Rob now with Kristen's reveal about the relationship they had," a source told the site. "He really appreciates her and just would like her to be happy and that is what it looks like to him. If she is happy, he is happy. It's as simple as that!"

In Stewart's interview, she also opened up on what her life was like dating a man and how uncomfortable it was being in the spotlight at that point.

"When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn't like it," she said. "We were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, 'That's mine. You're making my relationship something that it's not.' I didn't like that."

Now that she's with someone new, Stewart seems to be more confident going about her life now.

"It changed when I started dating a girl. I was like, 'Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I'm not down with it or ashamed of it, so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I'm so much happier."
