As the third season premiere of The Real gets closer, it looks like the show runners for the daytime talk show is narrowing possible options to replace singer Tamar Braxton after she was fired in May.

The latest reports say that four celebrity women are in the running to fill her sit: rapper and actress Eve, singer Ashanti, singer and television host Mel B, and singer Monica, according to The Shade Room Thursday.

While the latest lineup has yet to be confirmed, fans have already expressed their opinions on Twitter of the reported possibilities.

“Monica or Ashanti might be replacing Tamar on ‘The Real.’” I’m sorry, what year is this?”

“I would love to see Monica or Ashanti on the Real.”

“Allegedly Mel B might be the replacement host on ‘The Real’ Yaass Please Please… I love Tamar still… Mel B”

“So Monica, Ashanti, Mel B or Eve might replace Tamarack on the real. All great choices.”

“Mel B would be great on The Real. But I want them to avoid anyone who could be great and boost their ratings bc I’m petty…”

There is no word on how far along executives are in the process, but the show is slated to return next month. This will be the first without Braxton, who was fired after two seasons. The reasons the show let her go are still unconfirmed but there has been speculation that she had a bad attitude on set and got into a heated argument with the new Executive Producer.
