Nick Cannon, Chilli: Star On Why He & Singer Wouldn't Work Out, Talks Mariah Carey Being A 'Diva' [VIDEO]

Nick Cannon has given the real on what’s going on between him and his rumored girlfriend Chilli and an update on his breakup with Mariah Carey.

Cannon stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club earlier this month and didn’t hold back when dishing on his love life.

He said of him and Chilli being the new “#relationshipgoal” after she was spotted braiding his hair, he said they were on the set of his newest video, which the TLC songstress stars in as well.

“I called her,” he said when it came to explaining how Chilli got the part. “She is so amazing but think about it… Where I’m at in my life, you can’t play around with a woman like that. That’s serious. I’ve learned…you can’t just jump in and go full steam ahead. I don’t really wanna mess with [it]…”

He went to say he has the “ultimate respect” for Chilli but added that he doesn’t think he’ll ever date again.

“I go too hard, that’s my issue.”

As for Carey, Cannon did admit that she had her own “light person” at their home.

“When she turned hers on, I turned my off,” he said. “In order for this to work, I know I’m gonna have to fall back. If you wanna be the diva all the time, I’m cool with that. To this day, when we kick it it’s like ‘This is the Mariah world…’ I’ll be in it, I’ll play in it… I have no problem doing that.”
