There's an extraordinary amount of talent tied up in the casts of the DC TV universe, and The CW is finally ready to capitalize on it. We've seen several of The Flash cast flex their pipes in the past, but season 3 will provide viewers with a full-blown musical crossover event with the cast of Supergirl.

Yes, yes, we can already hear the naysayers typing away in the comments section. Considering Supernatural walked through the musical gauntlet with great aplomb, we have no doubt the superheroes can pull it off, particularly since the leads will be doing all the vocal legwork.

"There will be a musical crossover," executive producer Greg Berlanti said  at the Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday. "There's gonna be a musical pair of episodes in the back half of the year between Supergirl and Flash. We have a number of people who can sing across all the shows. That's not to be confused with the crossover we'll be doing across the nights in late November/early December."

The two-part event may even pull talent from Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, according to Screen Rant, although nothing is set in stone.

Utilizing pre-existing songs, the Arrowverse will bring Glee's Grant Gustin (Barry) and Melissa Benoist (Kara) back together. It's also safe to presume that Jesse L. Martin (Joe) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco) will draw on their Broadway backgrounds while the rest of the cast taps into their natural flair for vocalizing.

Elsewhere, Nerdist reports that, Legends of Tomorrow's Victor Garber (Martin Stein/Firestorm) will go full Sound of Music as he serenades a group of Nazi's to the soothing tune of Edelweiss.

Find out more when the Arrowverse jumps back into action this fall. The Flash will kick off its third season Oct. 4 on The CW. Supergirl will jump from CBS to its new home on The CW starting Oct. 10.
