He's one of 11 characters who fans do not know if he will be dead or alive after the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead, but now, a new sneak peek clip may hint just what happened to Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).

Daryl, along with Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Rosita (Christian Serratos), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Sasha (Sonequa Martin Green) and Aaron (Ross Marquand), was a part of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) deadly lineup, and the victim who's head Negan bashed in with his studded bat Lucille has yet to be identified. But a new preview clip for the upcoming seventh season, which debuted during a special episode of The Talking Dead on August 14, may suggest Daryl's fate.

In the penultimate episode of season six, Daryl was ambushed from behind by his nemesis from Negan's group, Dwight (Austin Amelio), who then shot him at point blank range. However, now, with Daryl, who was just injured in the shooting, potentially dead, the clip could prove he was the victim.

In the short clip, Dwight is seen riding on Daryl's famous motorcycle and wearing his vest when he happens upon a group of Walkers.

Though of course Daryl isn't in the clip, the fact that Dwight now has more of his stuff (he previously fleeced Daryl's crossbow from him), could spell bad things when it comes to the character's fate, as Dwight wouldn't easily get Daryl's stuff from him if he was still alive.

However, the clip also doesn't necessarily mean Daryl was killed, because of the policy Negan and his Saviors use when it comes to other groups. The Saviors believe in forcing other groups to work with them by giving them their own belongings with no questions asked. Fresh off one of his friends being handed a brutal death, Daryl could easily give in to the policy as he recovers from his own injury and mourns whoever does die.

The Walking Dead returns in October.
