Duffey might be on VH1’s Basketball Wives LA thanks to her friendship with Brandi Maxiell and engagement to a basketball agent, but she has revealed that she once dated famous rapper Drake before cameras started following her life.

The network caught up with Duffy and she confessed, “So if you do Google me and a rapper, the name Drake might pop up. We were dating, that’s about it. We had a fun time when I was college.”

Duffey said it happened while her and her now ex-husband was going through issues after he was unfaithful.

“And then I met Drake. He’s a pretty big name in the industry so people can bring stuff up. My fiancé knows about the relationship… knows about him. So it would be no news to him.”

She added that she and Drake are still very cool with one another to this day.

“He’s a great person, an amazing friend. We’re still friends. I’ve been hired to do DJ gigs for him. We still communicate about music…He’s very proud of me and how I’ve grown to become a DJ. He’s excited about me being engaged. It’s great… and he’s great… one of the best guys.”

Viewers met Duffey through her BFF Maxiell and relocated from Dallas to Los Angeles at the beginning of the season. She has definitely made her own mark so far.
