Despite the Fifty Shades of Grey movie rumors' continual spin out of control, Arrow's Stephen Amell hasn't been shy about his strong interest in the role of the S & M-crazed CEO, Christian Grey.

While recently sitting down with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, Amell stated, "I'm flattered if any movie role and my name are mentioned in the same sentence because there haven't been a ton of them. I'm still an actor that wants to work all the time."

Initial buzz over the TV actor began to ignite following a video the 31-year-old had posted in regards to the Grey role.

"I get questions about Christian Grey all the time but that project is a long way off, I know this because I had a meeting about it a long way off but not that long but not that close. I wouldn't call it long but I wouldn't call it close."

While speaking to Leno, Amell elaborated on the highly popular video clip he put out.

"I had a meeting with the studio that is doing that movie, and we spoke about it.  I anecdotally brought it up on my Facebook page, which I didn't realize was real news now! I've operated my page the same way when I had 200 friends, and now I have more than that.  And all of a sudden it was this big news story."

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is in the midst of penning the movie script, had stated that the flick would be staying true to the book with lots of sex and raunchiness, as the producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a write-up in Style Magazine.

Although the producers have yet to officially attach a director to the franchise, Fifty Shades of Grey is slated for its big screen release in the summer of 2014.  The film will be shot in London.
