Fuller House is bringing back a few old friends...you just won't be able to match the face with the name.

The Netflix series will continue to draw inspiration from its '90s mothership as season 2 begins, and that means integrating some of DJ's old high school friends (and foes) into the storyline. After over 20 years, however, those actors have long since scattered to the winds, thus leaving Fuller House with no other option than to recast the roles.

Nelson Burkhardt, DJ's wealthy high school boyfriend (previously played by Jason Marsden), and Kathy Santoni, the elder Tanner's high school nemesis (previously played by Anne Marie McEvoy), will both appear for a Bayview High School reunion in season 2. Just as Nelson will continue living the charmed life of a one percenter, TV Line reports that Kathy will return as cliquish as ever.

Even as two more throwback roles are added, fans should give up hopes of seeing Mary-Kate or Ashley Olsen return as Michelle. Despite being the only lead missing from the spin-off's lineup, the child stars are not  looking to step back in front of the camera.

"We've tried everything," Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Kubo and the Two Strings. "I think we've kinda given up."

Although an Olsen cameo is apparently out of the question, Sweetin promised a slew of familiar faces for the series' next batch of episodes.

"We have a lot. A lot of people that have been talked about for like 30 years are going to be on the show," the actress teased. "It's going to be a lot of fun."
