Amber Heard is making headlines since she was photographed holding co-star Johnny Depp's hand at a Rolling Stone concert in Los Angeles Saturday night. But, who exactly is the blonde beauty?

Heard is a 27-year-old actress who dropped out of high school at the age of 17 to become a full-time model. After weighing the ups and downs of modeling, she moved to Los Angeles and pursued an acting career, according to her IMDB official page.

Back in December 2010, Heard revealed that she was a lesbian at the 25th anniversary celebration for GLAAD (The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). She is considered bisexual and broke up with her partner with Tasya van Ree after a three-year relationship.

"I don't want to be labeled as one thing or another. In the past I've had successful relationships with men, and now I'm in this successful relationship with a woman. When it comes to love I am totally open. I don't want to be put into a category, as in 'I'm this' or 'I'm that," she said at the time.

The actress was ranked #21 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 Women of 2008 list and landed a #13 spot on the magazine's Hot 100 Women of 2010 list.

Heard was voted #35 on Ask men's top 99 'most desirable' women of 2012.

She has played in movies such as The Informers, Pineapple Express and ZombieLand. 

Heard and Depp starred in The Rum Diary in 2009 together and according to Hollywood Life, she was the main reason why Depp broke up with his girlfriend Vanessa Paradis.

Reports indicated that as soon as the Paridis and Depp split, Heard started dating Depp.

"At first, Amber was a little apprehensive, because she didn't want to be seen as the mistress. But Johnny won her over with his generosity and he was constantly giving her gifts," a source said.

Depp and Paradis have two children together: Lily Rose, 13, and Jack, 10.
