Star Wars' Han Solo is looking for a partner in crime, and Donald Glover is itching to step into the role.

The intergalactic franchise will travel back in time with Han Solo's 2018 addition to the budding anthology series, giving fans a chance to see the baby-faced smuggler ahead of New Hope. A young Lando Calrissian will join the illicit mayhem, of course, but the powers that be have yet to cast the role.

Community's Glover is currently the frontrunner, according to The Wrap, and the actor obliquely dished on his potential casting while speaking with Time.

"There are rumors," Glover confirmed, carefully avoiding any concrete confirmation of his audition process. "I mean, I grew up on it. My dad was a big fan. I had all the toys when I was little. I had a Darth Vader with the lightsaber he has. It was cool. It's a dynasty. It's like the bible. I love that franchise."

When viewers met Billy Dee Williams iteration of Calrissian, the former smuggler was a Cloud City baron turncoat who later redeemed himself as a Rebel general. The original owner of the Millennium Falcon, Lando has a storied history with the man who shot first.

Set for release on May 25, 2018, the untilled Han Solo film will feature Alden Ehrenreich in the titular role. The second edition to Star Wars' anthology series, Han Solo's adventure will air in the wake of this December's Rogue One.
