Britney Spears made her epic VMAs comeback Sunday night, performing her new single "Make Me..." with rapper G-Eazy.

Spears' performance at the 2016 VMAs was certainly an improvement compared to her widely-panned "Gimme More" performance in 2007, the last time she performed on the award show. Fans will remember the young superstar lip-syncing and doing what appeared to be half-hearted choreography.

That certainly wasn't the case this year as Spears showed why she's still one of the biggest stars in the world. It's clear that her recent residence in Las Vegas helped the artist get into top form. Spears and G-Eazy also performed the latter's hit, "Me, Myself and I".

"Make Me..." debuted at no. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, making for yet another successful single for Spears. The song received strong critical reviews as well, with Entertainment Weekly describing the song as "packed with whooshing synths and a seductive, dub step-esque boom-bap."

The song finds Spears pining for a lover she can't get out of her mind, hoping he can "make me oooh," which certainly doesn't leave much for interpretation.
