She met with him to try and convince him to give his shares to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) so they could get Quinn (Rena Sofer) out of Forrester for good and was instead given an offer she didn't expect, and now, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will have to decide if she will follow what Bill (Don Diamont) has outlined or try to stand on her own without him on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Bill told her that he would give her the shares, but only if she married him first, making them his wedding present to her. And she has been stunned by what he is suggesting, even though he believes it is the right more to make because it allows them to be together without her letting her guilt about Katie (Heather Tom) stand in her way.

"I see the future Brooke, and finally, life is good," he says in a preview clip for the Monday, August 29 episode.

However, as she potentially considers the offer, she will need to report back to Ridge and Kay=tie and let them know what he said. And when she tells them that he offered the shares in exchange for her hand in marriage, Katie will sarcastically assure her that she doesn't need to worry about hurting her feelings by marrying her soon-to-be ex-husband, by maintaining that she too is moving on from the marriage.

"Don't restrain yourself on my account. I'm moving on," Katie says.

However, Katie's anger over the offer being made, and Brooke's possibly even considering it even though her affair with Bill led to the couple's marriage coming to an end, will come out more when she spits our venomous words to her sister, reminding her that she always seems to need a man in her life to feel good about herself.

"I'm not like you," she says in the clip. "I don't need a man to validate me. I can amuse myself until the right one comes along."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
