The mood on Blindspot is down right wintery. With betrayals stacked up in every direction, it will take more than one episode for tensions to thaw.

After three months in the clutches of the CIA and NSA, Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) will return to action as season 2 begins. Although she'll pull a gun on Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) in the premiere, the second episode will see the team attempt to push aside the events of the summer.

"The team races to stop a corrupt DEA agent from selling stinger missiles to a drug cartel as Weller fights to keep everyone together under the increasing pressures of Jane's rift with the others and the uncomfortable addition of Nas (Archie Panjabi) as co-leader," NBC said of the as-yet-untitled hour.

Although showrunner Martin Gero previously described Nas as the "'soothing balm' that comes in and brings the team back together," it's clear the NSA agent doesn't posses a magic wand.

Meanwhile, episode 2 will see Reade (Rob Brown) continue his battle against Jones. The Hudson University football coach was introduced during "In the Comet of Us," and once Reade found out about his former idol's illicit activities, the agent vowed to get justice for his victims.

"Reade's been working on building a case against Jones," Spoiler TV revealed. "The case is going to become even more personal than he originally thought when it turns out he may have been one of Jones' victims!"
