The official reveal of the Apple's halo device, the iPhone 7, is only a couple of days away, and the tech giant's faithful fans are more excited than ever. True to form, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has an impeccable track record when predicting features of upcoming Apple devices, has released a final roundup of the iPhone 7's most likely features.

Hi to New Colors, Bye to an Old Favorite

Kuo stated that the iPhone 7 would come in five distinct color options: Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Dark Black and Piano Black. According to the analyst, the Piano Black color scheme, which would have a glossy finish, would be exclusive to the iPhone 7 Plus. The regular iPhone would only have the Dark Black option, which has a matte finish.

One thing that is missing from this year's iPhone color spectrum is the beloved Space Gray color. Space Gray has been a favorite among Apple fans for years since it was introduced in the iPhone 5. Since then, it has been one of the best-selling color options for the iPhones. Thus, it is quite intriguing to determine the reason behind the color scheme's retirement.

Storage and RAM Boosts

Unlike previous iPhones, the entry-level iPhone 7 would come with a minimum 32GB of storage. Other storage options are 128GB and 256GB. As for the device's RAM, Kuo stated that the iPhone 7 Plus would be equipped with 3GB of RAM while the regular iPhone 7 would have 2GB of RAM.

New Camera Features

True to the leaks about the device, Kuo stated that the iPhone 7 Plus would be equipped with a dual-lens camera system, with both lenses having 12MP sensors. With this system, the iPhone 7 Plus would be able to simulate optical zoom-like functions, as well as "light field camera applications," which might refer to giving users the ability to choose where the focus of the image would be, much like a Lytro camera.

No Headphone Jack, Stereo Speakers

While the absence of the headphone jack is really no surprise at this point, the KGI analyst stated that the iPhone 7 would be shipping with a Lightning headset and a Lightning to 3.5mm jack adaptor. Moreover, the device would allegedly feature a stereo speaker system, with the earpiece acting as a full-fledged speaker when the device is in landscape mode.

IPX7 Water Resistance, 3D Touch Home Button

This is yet another feature of the iPhone 7 that has been making its rounds in the rumor mill lately. According to Kuo, the iPhone 7 could fully be water-resistant, just like the Apple Watch. The Home Button would also be 3D Touch-capable.
