Chris Brown’s lawyer has set the record straight after rumors about what happened at his home during his showdown with LAPD made headlines last week.

Mark Geragos, who is representing Brown in the case, first shut down speculation that authorities found weapons inside of the mansion.

“Nothing was found that corroborated her statement,” he told ABC News. “They were specifically looking for a specific type of jewelry. That was not found. There was no gun or guns found in that house whatsoever. There were no drugs that I’m aware of that were found in that house whatsoever.”

He also cleared the air on how long police were outside of Brown’s home. Word had spread that police were standing at Brown’s home for more than 12 hours. But the singer demanded they get a police warrant before he let him inside to search.

Geragos said, “This was not a ‘standoff.’”

Instead, Geragos said he is the one who told Brown to stay inside of his home until he arrived. He added that that is when Brown took to Instagram to deny the claims a woman, Baylee Curran, made that he pointed a gun at her.

Curran has been making her rounds in the media and told Good Morning America that she was “terrified” during what she said was a violent incident between her and Brown after he and his friends kicked her out of his home.

“I thought [Brown] was going to shoot me,” she said.
