It appears Ryan Gosling is proving to Eva Mendes how serious he is about the family he's built with her.

According to a new report, the actor, 35, is trying to learn Spanish so he can speak to his girlfriend, 42, in the language at home, and better communicate both with her and their two daughters, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee.

According to OK! Magazine, Gosling has become determined to learn the language, and that mendes is "touched that he's making this effort" even though he isn't the best when it comes to speaking Spanish, and an insider reportedly told the magazine that he is giving it as much effort as he can.

"He's listening to podcasts and asking friends to speak Spanish with him," the source said. "He's also talking about hiring a tutor to work with him during his lunch breaks on set. He doesn't want to feel left out in his own home, so he's totally committed,"

The news comes just a few months after OK! Reported that the pair were planning a secret wedding ceremony this summer, and they were ready to take the plunge as a married couple after welcoming their second daughter.

"They've both committed to this and are just locking down dates and going over options for venues," the source said at the time.

The story about the pair's plans for a secret wedding were never confirmed or denied, though it wouldn't be the first time they had reportedly planned on marrying, as many reports have claimed over the course of their five year relationship that the super private couple have alternately broken up several times and become engaged and planned weddings.

Even if the pai did secretly marry this time, it is unlikely fans will hear about it anytime soon officially, as the pair are known for being super private, and even managed to hide Mendes' first pregnancy for seven months before the news broke. They repeated that tactic again during her second pregnancy, only announcing that they were expecting a child a couple of weeks before their daughter was born, and also managed to keep the news of that birth a secret for two weeks after.
