Sofia Richie's family approves of her new boyfriend, Justin Bieber -- at least according to a recent report.

Weeks into Richie and Bieber's romance, a source claims the model's father, Lionel Richie, and her sister, Nicole Richie, are both on board with the "Let Me Love You" singer.

“Lionel Richie adores Justin Bieber! He was skeptical at first because of all the bad press Justin has gotten over the years. He was expecting an entitled brat, but Lionel was pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite," a source told Hollywood Life on Sunday. "Justin charmed him right off the bat because he’s a huge Commodores fan and he grew up with his dad playing all of Lionel’s solo stuff. Justin’s also a perfect gentleman with Sofia, at least so far, and Lionel appreciates how Justin put his fans in their place after they were writing nasty comments about her online."

“Sofia is so happy that Lionel is completely OK with how things are going. Lionel is totally cool with Justin,” the source explained.

Meanwhile, despite recent rumors claiming Nicole is not a fan of Bieber, another source insisted she is okay with the romance.

“Nicole is that last one to judge anyone’s relationship. She feels that if Justin and Sofia are having fun, then good for them. She is not worried about Sofia & Justin at all,” the source added.
