Moms have an aesthetic, and it isn't defined by mom jeans and cashmere. Rather, it's all in the way they do (or don't) use social media.

Take my mom as an example. She discovered emojis around the same time she figured out what Instagram was, and now sends me wink face and eggplants as casually as I send out smileys. A photo of a sunset, for example, can warrant several different faces (she likes the heart-over-eyes one) and various animals. A snap of my sister, however, can trigger anything from three to eighteen different reactions, ranging from a wink to fireworks to, yes, eggplants. I'm not sure my mom knows the meaning behind the eggplant (or that you're not supposed to send winky faces to anyone you're not actively banging) but it's hilarious watching her try to figure it out.

It's equally delightful when the queen of social media, Kim Kardashian, gets to Tweeting or Instagram-ing anything involving her two children. Sure, she broke the Internet and is one of the biggest names in pop culture today, but somewhere underneath all that bronzer, she's just a mom that gushes over everything her two babies do.

She especially does this on Twitter.

Aw. But also, way to gush, Kim.

Can you just see North being mad at Kim for taking that photo in, like, ten years?

Looks like North would never have to visit the dentist.

As far as mom jokes go, this one is actually pretty funny.

Oh, Kim: Never change. Also, always continue embarrassing your kids. They'll love you for it later.
