Terra Jolé will be the first ever little person to compete on Dancing With the Stars, a distinction that's not lost on the reality star.

Jolé, who stars in the Lifetime reality show Little Women: LA, appeared on ABC's Good Morning America on Wednesday along with the rest of the upcoming DWTS lineup. The reality star is facing many challenges at this stage in her life, including the birth of her child!

"I am honored to be the very first little person to ever be a part of 'Dancing With the Stars,'" Jolé said on GMA. "Besides the fact I had a child a month ago, I think the biggest hurdle is figuring out how this is going to work for me."

Jolé suggested that she is serious about committing herself to ballroom dancing, and hopes her pro dancing partner, Sasha Farber, can assist with that.

"I think if I can do this with my partner Sasha [Farber], and I can dance and really be taken seriously, then I can accomplish anything," she said.

As for Farber, the dancer acknowledged that, "It's definitely going to be a challenge," but he added that, "she's inspired me so, so much, so we're both really excited to do this."

One thing in Jole's favor is that many celebrities with physical impairments have done really well on Dancing With the Stars in the past. Deaf model Nyle DiMarco won Dancing With the Stars this past spring, and deaf actress Marlee Matlin finished seventh in her season. Veteran Noah Galloway, who lost his left arm, was able to finish third in season 20. Paralympian Amy Purdy, who has prosthetic legs, finished as the runner-up in season 18. In other words, don't count out Jole as a possible contender just because of her height difference.

Dancing With the Stars season 23 premieres Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
