Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval have been going strong for years, but how?

Although the pressures of starring on a reality series can often be too much for some couples to handle, the Vanderpump Rules pair has stayed grounded and in a new interview, they discussed why their relationship is so functional.

"People say that our relationship is goals, #goals sometimes, and people ask us about what does it take to have a great relationship. And I think one thing that sets me and Ariana's relationship apart from definitely, like, my past is we definitely have a lot of respect for each other and who we are as people and our intelligence," Sandoval explained, according to a report by The Daily Dish on Friday.

"There's a lot of relationships where people are planning their exit strategy, or they're with each other because, oh, they already bought Coachella tickets with each other, or oh, they have a wedding coming up," he continued. 

"I really think the key to our relationship is we don't physically assault one another," Madix joked. "I try to encourage butt play as much as possible... Oprah would not approve of our relationship advice."

Despite Madix's odd advice, Sandoval got behind the idea and suggested Winfrey would totally be on board.

"I think she would deep down, but I think she would say she wouldn't," he laughed.
