Lady Gaga is in full support of Selena Gomez's decistion to take a break from the spotlight.

After Gomez announced the end of her tour, which was scheduled to continue until December, Lady Gaga participated in an interview with KTU 103.5‘s Cubby and Carolina Bermudez during which she revealed that fame can be isolating.

“Is the fame thing really that serious, where it takes you kind of a minute to check yourself?” the hosts asked Lady Gaga.

“I’d say its definite, I mean, serious is broad…term. There is a lot of really serious things going on in the world. So, its hard to say…But I would say that you know, fame is, is very isolating, something that takes a moment for you to stabilize yourself, especially if you’re really in it for the music, or your craft, because it can be a distraction from all of those things,” she responded, via Hollywood Life. “Suddenly, it’s about keeping up with your career, or keeping up with, number ones, or you know, being on top.”

Gomez revealed she was taking some time off from her busy career at the end of August.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” she told PEOPLE Magazine in a statement. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges. I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.”
