Lance Bass has been vocal about his sexuality ever since admitting that he is gay, and recently he hinted that it is likely one member of One Direction is gay.

In an interview on The Rubin Report, shown in the video below, Bass insinuated that if a member One Direction was gay, it wouldn't be a good move.

Host Mark Rubin told Bass, "If you took one of these One Direction kids, because they basically are kids, my guess is one of them is gay," and Bass said the claims could indeed be true.

"Well, statistically speaking, one probably is. It's crazy with a market like that because 100 percent is young women," Bass said. "And they fantasize about these guys, and then you have the record label and everyone grooming you to make sure that you don't even mention you have a girlfriend."

"So screw the fact that you're gonna come out as being gay. It ruins their whole business plan," he added.

After the interview Bass took to his Twitter account to clear up rumors that he directly said a member of One Direction was gay.

"Just for the record , I never said a member of 1D was gay," he wrote. "Listen to the interview before you start believing fake headlines."

Bass also admitted that the reason why he didn't come out as gay during his N*SYNC days was because he feared it would've broke up the group: "I felt that if anyone found out that it would be the end of the group, everyone would completely make fun of us, and we would no longer make music anymore. Which might have happened."

Bass made headlines last week after he revealed that NBA player Jason Collins consulted him for advice the day he came out as gay.

"He [Collins] calls, and I was like 'So, how is your day going?' And he was like 'Well, I just got off the phone with two presidents and Oprah, so pretty good," Bass said.
