Since news broke of an A-List actor with a "family man" image who was allegedly one of the people to sexually abuse Corey Haim as a teen, many have been wondering just who may have committed such a horrifying crime.

The news, published by Radar Online, reported that an A-List superstar actor who raped Haim had led a double-life and was actually the kingpin of a child pedophilia ring which had gotten both Haim and Corey Feldman caught in its web.

According to the Radar article, the unnamed actor has never come out as gay, has children of his own, is a household name "revered by millions around the globe," and claims he systematically abused Haim as a young boy, both on-and-off set, in their trailers, and at parties attended by other A-list actors.

"This dirty little secret is an open secret among so many in the biz," one showbiz insider revealed to the website.

The abuse reportedly led to the emotional turmoil in Haim's later years, until his death in 2010.

"The first time this man raped Corey was after he got him high on pot," a source said. "He fooled him. Corey was vulnerable, and he fell for this person. He believed, like so many victims, that he was 'in love' with his abuser. He was so confused by the sexual encounter, and believed it was love."

In addition, the allegations are proving that the system, including the studios, directors, producers and co-stars, knew and did nothing about the abuse Haim suffered, his second such account, which occurred in his mid-teens.

"In Corey's case, many people in the industry were aware he was being abused by this man, and that no one did anything to stop it-or help him," a source said. "Instead this person would use his star power to intimidate, threaten, and muzzle those around him."

While the article doesn't name the alleged abuser, some names have been floated on social media and in other places, with speculation overwhelmingly pointing towards Charlie Sheen, who was at the center of a scandal in Hollywood last year when it was rumored he was HIV positive and had knowingly put sexual partners at risk. Sheen confirmed a few days later in an interview with Good Morning America that he was HIV positive, but that the disease was controlled and he had never infected other partners.

As for whether he was the one who allegedly abused Haim, there have been stories circulating for years that he had done so, though nothing has ever been explicitly confirmed outside of blind gossip items (like this one), but the existence of those reports has led to the speculation he is once again at the center of the scandal.

In addition, Feldman himself has potentially dropped hints about Sheen being more involved in Haim's life than previously thought, without explicitly saying that he had done anything.

In his memoir, Feldman discussed Haim being abused without saying who it was, though he mentioned it was around the time of the film Lucas, which Sheen was his co-star in.

"Within hours of our first meeting, we found ourselves talking about Lucas, the film he made in the summer of 1985, the role I had wanted for myself," he wrote. "At some point during the filming, he explained an adult male convinced him that it was perfectly normal for older men and younger boys in the business to have sexual relations, that it was what all "guys do". So they walked off to a secluded area between two trailers, during a lunch break for the cast and crew, and Haim, innocent and ambitious as he was, allowed himself to be sodomized [...] [That man] walks around, one of the most successful people in the entertainment industry, still making money hand over fist."

He later admitted to not being a fan of Sheen, and hinted he was extremely involved in Haim's life early on.

"Well I have to be completely honest and say, I'm not a huge fan of Charlie Sheen. I don't make it my goal to ever talk badly in the press, we're all in it together, that's the way I look at it, but Charlie in particular, especially the way that he's affected other people that I know-point blank, Charlie and Corey started their careers pretty much together, and Corey fought for his entire life to recover from those early experiences and to get his life together."

However, another name has been lightly circulated as well, with some speculating Robert Downey Jr. on social media.
