Katy Perry's father wants people to pray for his daughter whom he has branded a "devil child".

Keith Hudson and his wife Mary are currently on a tour of churches in the United States. They have been billed as speakers who can share their stories of righteous living. He recently spoke in Santa Fe Springs, California. He reportedly showed a videotape of his superstar daughter that depicted her as a devil who needed healing.

"They ask how can I preach if I produce a girl who sang about kissing another girl?" Hudson said. "I was at a concert of Katy's where there were 20,000. I'm watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church."

Hudson said his emotions got the better of him when he was at his daughter's concert. He could not believe what he was saying.

"I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They're loving and worshipping the wrong thing," he said.

The Hudson's also asked the congregation to offer doantinos of $20 since they were going to Switzerland. Katy has not yet commented on her father's admonishments but this is not the first time Keith has been outspoken in his views. Following her split from comic Russell Brand in January 2012, Hudson preached a sermon against Jews.

"You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey," he said. "You go to LA and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of LA where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen."

During the same sermon, Mary also gave credit to God for their daughter's impending divorce.

"I'm sure that Katy's trending on the Internet was to get you here to church tonight," she said, according to the UK's Daily Mail. "I mean all over the world, who knows how God is bringing them in? The most important thing is you are here and God wants to put the fire in you in 2012."

Within days, Hudson apologized for his diatribe, calling them "hurtful and ugly language."
