Lira Galore has given more details about her breakup with rapper Rick Ross after she starred in Iyanla: Fix My Life with on OWN.

Galore was open about their broken engagement on the show and didn’t hold back when it came to why they decided to go their separate ways after being engaged for just two short months.

“Our relationship was phenomenal,” she told Iyanla Vanzant. “But then he changed. He was doing a lot of sneaky things behind my back.”

She added that she said she felt Rick did not appreciate her and added that she believes she is not the only African American woman who has had to deal with situations like she did with the rapper.

“I’m angry because I want our black men to value us,” she said in the episode that aired earlier this year.

She went on to say that her breakup with Rick caused her to turn to alcohol as a coping mechanism.

“I like the way it makes me feel. It makes me forget my pain, my hurt, my heartbreak.”

Galore added that she wanted to share her story because she hopes she can help other women.

“It’s easy to see public relationships or lifestyles on Instagram and forget we are all human. We are all naive at times. I’ve learned you have to stay focused on your goals, and the love you bild for yourself will always remain solid. Outside that, you have to trust your worth as a person and as a woman.”
