The scores are holding steady for Dancing with the Stars latest batch of competitors.

The ABC series kicked off season 23 with a flurry of action last week, including a last minute disruption from Ryan Locke protestors. Although no one attempted to storm the stage during Week 2 "TV Night," dancers were kept on their toes as they worked to match their premiere scores.

Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez  (with Valentine Chmerkovskiy) continued to dominate the pack, pulling in a 32 for her jive routine. Set to DuckTales from DuckTales, the performance placed Hernadez ahead of Terra Jolé's (with Sasha Ferber) impressive 31-point quickstep and Kenny "Babyface" Edmond's 30-point Argentine tango (with Allison Holker).

After a strong opening, IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess slipped from a 31 to a 29 thanks to their paso doble set to The Walking Dead Theme. The score put them neck and neck with Marilu Henner (with Derek Hough) and Jana Kramer (with Gleb Savchenko).

Several performers landed in the mid-20's, but it was Rick Perry's (with Emma Slater) bad luck to land in last place once more. With a 22-point quickstep, the former presidential hopeful fell behind Amber Rose (with Maksim Chmerkovskiy), Jake T. Austin (with Jenna Johnson), and Lochte (with Cheryl Burke), all of who eared a 24.
