Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially divorcing, under rather similar circumstances of his divorce from Jennifer Aniston.

Hearts all around the world were broken when the news broke Tuesday morning that Pitt and Jolie were getting divorced. The power couple has long been considered one of the most influential and powerful, not just in Hollywood but around the world.

The same could once be said, however, about Pitt and Aniston. The pair married in 2000 and stayed together until their divorce in 2005. At the time, they cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce, so what's the reasoning for Pitt and Jolie's divorce? You guessed it, irreconcilable differences.

Court documents stated that Jolie cited irreconcilable differences, as reported by various publications on Tuesday.

Pitt has already spoken publicly about the impending divorce, saying: "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids, I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."

Their children include 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

While Pitt and Aniston did not fight over kids when they got divorced, the terms of their divorce seem quite similar to Jolie and Pitt's. At the time, their difficult schedules and their differences of opinion on having children were what partly resulted in divorce.

And this time around, Jolie's divorce filing is related to family/children.

"The decision was made for the health of the family," Jolie's attorney said in a new statement. "She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time."

Aniston has not commented on the Pitt-Jolie divorce, though the internet is having a good time imagining how she's feeling right now.
