Even before "Vikings" Season 4, part 2 premiered, the death of Ragnar Lothbrok has become the talk of the town and with this comes the big question on Kattegat's fate and the series' future.

"Vikings" Season 4, part 2 will not be aired until November. While the show is on hiatus, avid viewers cannot help but speculate about how the story will turn out. Fans already know about the imminent demise of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) prior to the season premiere. The question is who will rule the Vikings after his death?

Towards the end of the historical drama's midseason finale, Ragnar was seen back in Kattegat. The ruler, however, dared his sons to kill him if they wanted to take his throne. GameNGuide teased that although Hvitsrek (Marco Ilso) and Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) are the ones who hate Ragnar the most and might just take their father's challenge, it is most likely that Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen) would eventually take the throne.

With Ragnar's partiality leaning toward Ivar, the former may just grant the rule of Kattegat to his favorite son. This theory is backed by historical sources citing that the real Ivar became the Viking leader who invaded England.

Besides Ragnar's relationship to his sons with Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), "Vikings" Season 4, part 2 brings fans with further plot twists. According to International Business Times, Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), Ragnar's eldest son, will develop a better relationship with Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) as they travel to the Mediterranean.

In contrast, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Aslaug will continue to have a less than friendly relationship and their catfight is something fans should watch out for.

The History Channel show's team has also revealed the addition of John Rhys Meyers to the cast. Although his character is yet to be disclosed, creator Michael Hirst affirmed that Meyers will play a significant role and will be appearing during the season finale.

Watch how the "Vikings" Season 4, part 2 plot unfolds on History Channel this Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. ET.
