Mister Cee, a DJ at New York's Hot 97 radio station, was arrested in Brooklyn on May 2 for allegedly trying to pick up a male prostitute, New York Daily News reported.

Cee, whose real name is Calvin Lebrun, was reportedly in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn on Madison Avenue and Broadway on last Thursday night when the man approached him.

According to the paper, the DJ was charged with patronizing a prostitute. He was arraigned on Saturday, May 4, and has since been released.

Cee appeared on Hot 97's show Monday morning to shut down rumors that he picked up male prostitute. He said that the incident involved an undercover cop who was actually a woman and not a man, and that the Daily News reported false information. He claimed that the original story reported by the publication cited that the cop was a women, but the reporter changed the story to a man.

"I am not gay," Cee told Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds, Ebro, and K Foxx. "I was approached by a female undercover cop."

When Ebro and Rosenberg of the morning show pointed out that the area in Brooklyn where Cee was arrested in is known for transgender prostitutes, Cee said he just happened to be in the neighborhood at the time.

"I have an addiction to not only prostitution. I have an addiction to getting the quickie," Cee said.

This is not the first time Cee has made headlines for picking up male prostitutes. In 2011, the 46-year-old pled guilty to a charge of loitering for engaging in prostitution after police caught him receiving oral sex from a 20-year-old man in a parked car. Cee said that the details of 2011 incident were not true and only decided to take a guilty plea so that he could protect his family and friends at Hot 97.

"There's something as far as what has been built up," Cee said. "If I was engaged in sexual activity with that person and that person's case got simply dropped. And I had to go through what I had to go through, what does that tell you?"
