He seemed happy that she was moving on with her life and dating Travis (Michael Roark) instead of once again reuniting with Billy (Jason Thompson), but Victor's (Eric Braden) latest move will stun both Travis and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) on The Young and the Restless.

The couple has already had to deal with countless manipulations on Jill's (Jess Walton) part in her never-ending quest to get Victoria and Billy back together, and though Victor expressed approval of his daughter's new love interest and insisted he was happy for her because she wasn't circling around Billy for once, he will still make a move that neither one expected by calling Travis to meet with him-and in a move similar to Jill's, give him a job offer.

Though Jill tried to offer him a job in Hong Kong so he would be at of Genoa City and Victoria's life, Victor's will in fact be at Newman Enterprises and keep Travis in town. However, after his past experiences with corporate business, Travis is hesitant to really take up an offer to join Newman, and will request that Victor show him his offer.

"So what's the offer?" He asks in a preview clip for the Tuesday, September 27 episode.

"You think this will keep my daughter happy?" Victor asks as he slides a piece of paper towards Travis.

However, when Victoria and Billy walk into the room, Victoria will be stunned to see the two men together. She will quickly assure Billy that Travis is someone trustworthy when he expresses suspicion, but she will go up to them on her own to find out what's going on.

Of course, despite appearances, Travis will be able to prove his worth as a good guy by turning down Victor's offer as well, and he and Victoria will happily head out on their way together. But the decision to turn him down could make Victor more determined than ever to find a way to get Travis into the Newman fold.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
